My Wellness Philosophy

My wellness philosophy is about setting the bar higher.

Not only do I want you to be disease, illness, and symptom free, but I want you to thrive! My mission is to both empower and inspire you to live a lifestyle of optimal health.

I believe in a holistic approach. This means addressing the whole person – mind, body and spirit. While diet is integral in determining health, it’s not the only factor impacting our biology. Stress, sleep, relationships, environment and many other components of life can all have measurable impacts on our health.

I believe in balance. Living a healthy lifestyle should always enhance your life, not hinder it. I’m not one for strict diets or impractical expectations. Establishing a healthy lifestyle allows you to be intentional when you want to indulge and enjoy those opportunities without the guilt.

I believe that food is medicine. While drugs can be an effective route to treatment when necessary, the power of nutrition is often underestimated. Whether it’s allergies or cancer, I believe that food as medicine should be included in every kind of healing regimen.

I believe that everyone is biologically unique. What works for me may not work for you. Not only is this scientific fact, but it is one of the many reasons why I believe in curating a custom wellness plan for all my clients.

I believe in identifying the root cause. When working with me, we’ll work together to uncover underlying imbalances, address symptoms and promote healing from the inside out.

I believe in preventative care. Preventative care is the future. Gone should be the days that we only tend to our health if we’re sick. Understanding your unique biology and health tendencies will equip you to not only feel even better, but prevent future illness or disease later. There’s always room for improvement.

I believe in a strong patient-practitioner relationship. Not only will I be your wellness consultant, but I will be your friend, supporter, and cheerleader. Studies show that working with a practitioner who values relationship building with their clients leads to more successful outcomes and happier patients.

I believe in evidence-informed practice. Many people confuse a “holistic” approach with one that lacks scientific informed decisions. This is far from the truth. Holistic care is about combining an evidence-based approach with the unique needs of the individual. My approach will always be both holistic and evidence-informed.

While nutrition is a foundational component of total wellness, my approach and philosophy encompass much more. It is my mission to empower you to reach your optimal health through a whole person approach, embracing your unique biology, finding balance and utilizing food as medicine along the way.
